2 teens arrested in Conway shooting
LITTLE ROCK — Conway police on Friday reported that two teenage boys had been arrested in a shooting last month.
The department said on Facebook that the boys, ages 16 and 17, face charges of being a principal or accomplice to attempted first-degree murder, and breaking or entering. The department did not identify them.
The shooting happened Dec. 1 on Timberpeg Court, a residential area west of the University of Central Arkansas. Officers were called around 5 a.m. to a report of shots fired and found a woman inside her home bleeding, police reported.
The woman told police she was driving away from her home when she noticed a dark-colored sedan driving with its lights off. She saw two men running to the car and then heard gunfire. Bullets grazed her head and hand.
Police reported that the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
An investigation is ongoing.
