A famous breakfast eatery expands to Little Rock

Little Rock, Arkansas – The Buttered Biscuit, a Northwest Arkansas institution that just opened its first Little Rock shop a little over a week ago, is new to the Promenade at Chenal.

Four locations of the locally owned breakfast eatery The Buttered Biscuit can be found in Northwest Arkansas. Since its opening, the Little Rock facility has been busy, according to general manager Jonathan Clark.

“We’re here early… every day making hand-scratch gravy and biscuits for the community,” Clark said, “We’re just excited to be in central Arkansas.”

The restaurant is a new addition to West Little Rock’s Promenade at Chenal retail area.
Chris Monroe works as a principal for Moses Tucker Partners, the leasing company for the Promenade.

The Buttered Biscuit, he claimed, will greatly enhance the existing stores, eateries, and entertainment options.

“Outstanding concept, high-end ingredients [and a] great atmosphere,” Monroe said. “We’re thrilled to have them.”
Monroe said he’s proud of what the Promenade has to offer and sees the area as a marker of how much Little Rock is growing.

“It has that feel like a Dallas or Houston or Atlanta or Nashville,” Monroe said. “It anchors a great part of town and a growing part of town.”

A large portion of it will come from The Buttered Biscuit, but the restaurant also serves wonderful cuisine to the community through Project Biscuit, a charitable organization that aids the less fortunate.

$1 is donated to Project Biscuit’s resources, which include scholarships, each time a consumer orders the Eureka Sandwich.

“We’ve partnered with Pulaski Tech Culinary School… so it’s been a really exciting start already,” Clark said. In the meantime, the store will continue its mission of providing a great breakfast and an atmosphere to match.

“I think our guests have been super satisfied,” Clark said. “Not only with our food but our quality service.” The Buttered Biscuit plans to open a second Little Rock location in the fall of 2024.
