Rogers, Arkansas – On January 4, a senior from Bentonville High School became the first contestant from the Natural State to win the title of Miss America’s Teen.

In June, Rogers resident Peyton Bolling was crowned Miss Arkansas’ Teen.

“I’m from the Bentonville School District, and ‘where excellence lives,’ is their motto,” Bolling declared in June following his statewide victory. “Since I was young and moved here, I think that striving for excellence and being able to be in the classroom and your teachers wanting what’s best for you kind of shaped me to be the woman I am today and eventually win the crown.”

Bolling was the first Arkansas to win the title at the national Miss America’s Teen pageant in Orlando on January 4.

The representative from Alabama was the first runner-up, followed by those from Mississippi, New Jersey, and Texas.

Miss America’s Teen is a branch of the Miss America program for girls between the ages of 13 and 18, according to the pageant’s website.
