Abba Charities supports women facing crises by providing both emotional and practical assistance
Little Rock, Arkansas – A community group is assisting women in navigating the complexities of an unplanned pregnancy, where the burden of making decisions can frequently seem daunting.
For numerous women, an unexpected pregnancy may result in emotions of loneliness, uncertainty, and despair, particularly regarding financial matters.
However, the nonprofit ABBA charities provide not only immediate support but also a vision for long-term hope.
ABBA charities offer a blend of emotional support and practical guidance, assisting women in managing their present crises while also facilitating healing from past traumas.
“Somewhere out there, another woman feels as lost as I once did, questioning whether hope is truly attainable,” shares birth-mom, Leigha Greer.
Women experiencing unplanned pregnancies often confront past trauma, which adds layers of complexity to their decision-making process.
“I became pregnant, and nobody believed me.” The father showed no interest in being involved with me. He provided funds for an abortion while I was already struggling with a drug addiction. That took me even further in. “I used the money for the abortion to buy drugs, and I isolated myself,” Greer states.
Greer made the decision to place her daughter for adoption, considering her situation during the pregnancy, with the assistance and support of ABBA charities.
She credits the support from ABBA for helping her find her way back to the right path.
“I’m sober, I’m clean, and I’m feeling great.” My daughter is doing exceptionally well. At the age of eight, she is flourishing in today’s world. I have another daughter whom I chose to keep.
At 14, she is flourishing remarkably. I’m here because ABBA has always been a constant presence. “I believe that without that support, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Greer states.
Through counseling, mentorship, and practical resources, ABBA empowers women to imagine a thriving future, no matter their circumstances. A supportive environment is offered for women to express their worries, examine their choices, and gain insight during what can frequently be a confusing period.
