Little Rock, Arkansas – Life Line Baptist Church organizers joined forces to host an event on Sunday that they are calling “Cutz 4 Kidz.”

With the help of haircuts, clothing, and school supplies, the event hopes to ease parents’ financial burdens this school year.

Hot Springs’ Twins Barber Shop is owned by Andrew Jacob. He says he makes it a point to volunteer every year in order to give young people confidence.

We’re here to make these kids feel better so they can return to school, so if there’s any way we can help, that’s great, said Jacob.

The event was a one-stop shop, according to the organizers, and Kelsey Coning will be able to save money because of it.

Coning said, “What they’ve done here is amazing; there’s so much good stuff.”

The primary organizer, Angie Grubb, reports that the event expands every and that this year she received a grant of $1500 from Entergy to assist.

“We have a strong commitment to serving the needs of this community, regardless of whether they enter our church through the doors or not,” Grubb stated.

She expresses her satisfaction with the turnout and looks forward to contributing to the community for many years to come.

“We are here to serve and love them, which is why I enjoy organizing this event. We’re going to repeat this the next year and improve upon it even further,” Grubb declared.
