Benton company is distributing free Christmas trees
Benton, Arkansas – A Benton business is spreading holiday cheer by providing Christmas trees to families in need this season.
Owner Liz Miller-Galvond states that “Another Season Home and Garden,” previously recognized as Cox Family Garden, has been a cornerstone in the Benton community for over thirty years.
Miller-Galvond has been at the helm of the business since May, sharing that returning to her home state of Arkansas has truly been a dream realized up to this point.
“Benton is one of those remaining small towns in Arkansas that truly embodies a family-oriented atmosphere, exuding a warm and inviting charm,” Miller-Galvond remarked. “We truly feel a strong sense of support from the community.” It has been truly remarkable.
Another Season offers a variety of products, including exotic plants and classic garden vegetables, especially during the spring season. During this season, they also offer holiday decorations for sale.
“This season, we will be offering fresh-cut Oregon Christmas trees,” Miller-Galvond stated.
Curious about the number they will be distributing? To be precise, there are 80 of them.
Beginning Sunday, December 15, customers are invited to select from a range of Christmas tree sizes available at the store.
“Having grown up in Arkansas with limited resources and later becoming a single mother of three.” She shared her personal experience with the difficulties people encounter, particularly during the holiday season.
When the business discovered they had surplus trees, their initial reaction was to lend a helping hand to the community. They are proceeding without any judgment or inquiries.
The sole guideline is— if you require a tree, go ahead and take one.
“If you’re in need of some festive spirit,” Miller-Galvond stated. “Visit us during our regular business hours, and we’ll gladly send you home with a Christmas tree to bring joy to your loved ones.”
Miller-Galvond emphasized that anyone interested in buying Christmas décor or other items from Another Season’s collection should act swiftly. The store is set to shut its doors in January, with plans to reopen in the Spring.
She mentioned that even during its closure, the store has plans to attract visitors throughout the winter season.
“Although we will be closed, we will still be hosting some exciting private events,” Miller-Galvond stated. “Stay alert.”
She urged anyone interested to check out the store’s Facebook page, where updates on all things related to the store’s offerings and selection will be shared.
