Blytheville teen killed in single-vehicle crash
DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO. – A single-vehicle crash Thursday injured three teens and left another dead.
The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Highway NN, two miles north of the Arkansas state line in Dunklin County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
An unnamed 16-year-old girl was northbound when her 2005 Chevy Trailblazer ran off the left side of the roadway, hit a utility pole, and overturned.
A 16-year-old female passenger from Blytheville, Arkansas, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Darreonau Foreman, 17, of Steele and Kyle Spears, 19, of Caruthersville were also in the SUV. Both were flown to hospitals in Memphis.
The driver was also flown to Region One Health Medical Center also in Memphis.
According to the preliminary crash report, only Foreman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
