CONWAY, Ark. – Conway Police need help solving a crime. Police are looking for this person who robbed a tobacco store, Tobacco Station, late last year.

“I was shocked,” store manager, Teresa Allen said.

Surveillance video was released by police Sunday, and now the store manager is opening about it. The manager, Teresa Allen said she hopes this person gets caught before they are targeted again.

The video shows someone approaching the tobacco station store after it closed. Then an employee opens the door and the person forces their way inside and shows a gun. Allen said he then forced the employee to open the register and took off with the money.

“It is heartbreaking because you never know what the ending results are going to be and it’s happening everywhere and they’re just getting away with it,” Allen said.

Since the incident they’ve been back to business.

“We just keep going,” Allen said.

Now they’re taking more safety measures.

“We’ve installed more cameras, and more security,” Allen said.

Allen said they’re also enforcing more rules like no hoods can be worn while in the store, and no extra people are allowed behind the counter.

This isn’t the first time they’ve been robbed before. This is the third, one-time Allen was the employee with a gun pointing at her.

“It was very scary,” Allen said. “And it gets very nervous and scary after dark especially.”

Although it’s been a few months, they’re still asking someone with information to come forward.

“It would make us feel safer, knowing that we wouldn’t have to watch our back as much,” Allen said.

Allen also noted it scary because they’re typically the only store in the shopping center that stays open past 5 p.m. If you know any information that could lead to an arrest, you’re asked to contact Conway Police.
