Following storm damage in March, North Little Rock is reopening the Burns Park soccer complex

North Little Rock, Arkansas – After a storm devastated much of Burns Park in March, repairs are still ongoing in several sections.
On Tuesday morning, the Burns Park soccer facility will only allow car traffic via Championship and Tournament Drives, according to a statement made by city officials.
North Little Rock officials have announced that practices for soccer will start on Tuesday night.
Following a tornado in March, substantial damage resulted in the closure of the soccer facility and a large portion of the park.
According to officials, Arlene Laman Drive will remain blocked owing to dangerous roads.
To provide access to the roads and trails surrounding the soccer complex, NLR authorities announced that the fence that has been in place since the tornado and prevents bicyclists and pedestrians from exiting the river trail will be removed.
