Gas costs in Arkansas are slightly rising
Jonesboro, Arkansas – The average price of gas in Arkansas increased by 1.5 cents over the previous week to $3.04 a gallon.
The average price in the Natural State is 2.1 cents per gallon less than last year, but 12.5 cents higher than a month ago, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 1,826 stations.
The average price across the country per gallon stayed at $3.46.
According to GasBuddy.com’s head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, weather can affect pricing.
“Hurricane Beryl is a stark reminder that hurricane season could play a role in prices in the weeks ahead,” said De Haan. “As we approach August and the peak of hurricane season, there remains a risk that the national average could surge temporarily if we see a major storm in the wrong place.”
