Covid-19
It looks like the Delta wave peak is behind us as Arkansas daily and active cases, hospitalizations and deaths are decreasing
Arkansas – It has been a good week in terms of the Covid-19 numbers, something that was also confirmed by the Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Twitter today.
The numbers are slowly decreasing which means that the Delta wave peak is behind us and hopefully Arkansas will see better times in the upcoming weeks.
According to the latest report issued by Arkansas Department of Health, the state recorded 739 new Covid-19 cases and 11 additional Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.
With the latest numbers, the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now 485,056 while the total number of deaths reached 7,445.
Currently, there are 15,774 cases which is 500 less compared to Saturday’s report.
There are 12 people less in hospitals and that number is now 1,015. The total number of people on ventilators is 289 which is increase by 4 compared to Saturday.
In the last 24 hours 3,667 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administrated.
“It has been a good week with new and active COVID cases below what we saw last week. Let’s work to ensure this trend continues. The vaccine is our best tool, and we need everyone to get fully vaccinated while we face the challenges of COVID-19,” Gov. Hutchinson said on Twitter.
