England, Arkansas – The roots of Ms. Carolyn Reed and her family are firmly established in England, Arkansas.

Usually, it’s just another year at Nana’s over the holidays, but on Saturday, Ms. Carolyn got the call that anyone should have to take.

So, my son called and said, ‘Mom, your house is on fire.'” So, even though I wasn’t feeling well at the time, I got up right away. We drove down here, and when we got there, the home was completely on fire,” Ms. Carolyn remarked.

The remains of her house are now buried beneath the debris where family memories were created.

According to her son, everyone was shocked by the loss, which was unlike any they had ever encountered.

“From moving to the projects, from over here as a kid, this the world like we were so happy,” remarked her son. “Man, we had everything like she did everything it was perfect for us like she, she worked hard for us to get over here.”

Ms. Carolyn, her son, and her grandson Trent were unable to resist reminiscing about the things that are no longer in existence as they considered what they had lost. Except for his grandmother’s two beloved shoes, Trent claimed that everything was burnt.

Something remarkable occurred in the spirit of Christmas, giving her hope. Her confidence and trust in the Lord were demonstrated by the fact that the envelopes containing the Christmas gifts for her seven children and twenty-five grandkids were entirely undamaged.

“I’m confident he’ll find a way. All of this will pass,” Ms. Carolyn stated.

With the help of her family and the community, she has maintained her strength and positive attitude.

Trent Morgan, the head boys’ basketball coach and principal of England High School, posted news about Ms. Carolyn’s passing on Facebook. He claimed that the community reacted tenfold at that point.

“There’s nothing like the small-town love; you can just see it every single day. For example, when we were standing out there, somebody wrote by and said, hey, if you need anything, let us know,” said Coach Morgan.

Coach Morgan, who is also Trent’s coach, has been a friend and mentor to the Reed family for a considerable amount of time.

It made perfect sense to him to offer his assistance in return for all they had done for him.
“I called our other principal and the superintendent, and we instantly got on the phone, was able to take him to the mall the very next day and get him a bunch of clothes and things that he really needed,” said Coach Morgan.

This is not the end for Ms. Carolyn and her family. Everyone, even Trent, who has not missed a beat when it comes to taking the court and getting unending support from his teammates at England High School, has been strengthened by her faith.

One thing is clear from their experience: You can overcome anything if you have faith.

“She instilled strength in us. They don’t let it out, but you know, don’t, don’t, don’t. Keep it inside. Simply remain resilient. “Trust God,” urged Ms. Carolyn’s son.
