Man arrested for murder of 21-year-old in Lonoke County
A 23-year-old Jacksonville man was detained for murdering a 21-year-old in Lonoke County.
Police officers responded to a shooting about 8 p.m. on Monday at the 600 Block of Joyner Loop. According to a news release, a caller told police that someone had been shot and was lying in the driveway.
Officers found 21-year-old Richard Duvall had been shot. He was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses identified Edward Morrison, 23, as the suspect. He was arrested down the street from where Duvall was shot, according to the release. Detectives said that the shooting was a result of an argument between the two young men.
Morrison was transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Murder. Morrison is being held without bond.
