Man catches fire after being tased by Arkansas trooper

Little Rock, Arkansas – After being tased by an Arkansas State Police officer, a man from Arkansas was “engulfed in flames.”

The incident reportedly took place on October 13 at 1:10 a.m. while the officer was on patrol on Asher Avenue.

The policeman claimed that while on duty, he started to pursue Christopher Gaylor, 38, who was riding a black motorcycle without a license plate.

The motorcycle’s driver reportedly reached 100 mph during the chase, which started north of Asher Avenue.

The driver allegedly jumped many red lights at “extreme rates of speed” as they crossed the intersections of Asher and Woodrow, Wright Street, and South Pulaski, according to the police officer.

The motorcycle allegedly reached speeds of up to 120 mph throughout the chase as the two crossed over and under the freeway.

The biker eventually crashed on Chandler Street after a protracted pursuit. The man was tased after the collision while attempting to flee, but there was “no effect.”

The second time he was tased, there was an explosion of fire.

According to the Associated Press, police eventually discovered that Gaylor had around a gallon of gasoline in his rucksack.

To put out the flames, a cop was able to retrieve a fire extinguisher. The individual was restrained after the fire was put out and transferred to UAMS for treatment of the burns.

Gaylor is accused of evading arrest, careless driving, driving without insurance, failing to register a vehicle, and escaping the scene of an accident.
