Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday morning as an overnight fire in Philadelphia claimed the life of one individual and left another critically injured. The fire, which broke out in the Fern Rock neighborhood of the city on the 6000 block of North 12th Street, prompted an immediate response from fire crews around 12:30 a.m.
One person was caught in flames and died, another suffered injuriesÂ
As the flames engulfed the area, two victims were caught in the blaze. One of the victims could not survive the incident and was declared dead at the scene.
The other victim was immediately rushed to a local hospital where, as of the latest reports, they remain in a critical condition.
At this time, authorities have not disclosed further details about the victims or the circumstances surrounding the deadly fire.
