Philadelphia police investigate a deadly shooting on Chadwick Street

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Philadelphia law enforcement is currently investigating an incident that took place early Sunday morning in North Philadelphia and claimed the lives of a man and a woman and left two others injured. The incident took place along the 2200 block of Chadwick Street around 4:30 a.m.

Police found two people show and injured at the scene

Responding to reports of a shooting, police officers arrived on the scene to discover a man and a woman lying in the street, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman, later identified as 28-year-old Tyshea Howard of Philadelphia, was shot once in the back. Jerome Jones, a 32-year-old also from Philadelphia, sustained gunshot injuries to his head and back.

Both victims died as a result of the injuries

Despite being rushed to nearby hospitals, both Howard and Jones succumbed to their injuries. Howard was pronounced dead at 4:29 a.m., while Jones was declared deceased at around 4:35 a.m.

Officials revealed that two additional men believed to be connected to the same shooting incident arrived at a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. A 36-year-old man and a 45-year-old man, each shot once in their legs, were admitted to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

The authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
