Saline County issued a Low Water Alert for Forest Service Road 114
Little Rock, Arkansas – Authorities of the Ouachita National Forest issued a warning on Thursday based on a verified low water crossing.
To warn drivers when traveling on Forest Service Road 114, caution signs have been erected.
“Visitors should always use caution while traveling and recreating on the forest and be prepared for the possibility of unpredictable road conditions,” said Jessieville-Winona-Fourche District Ranger Mike Welker.
“We appreciate the public’s understanding as we work to make the needed repairs.”
Only cars with high clearance and four-wheel drive will be allowed to pass.
The US Department of Agriculture Forest Service states that improper conditions prevent standard passenger cars from being cleared.
Caution signs are positioned at the intersections closest to the temporary crossing to provide extra guidance.
Motorcyclists should be advised that portions of Gravel Bike Loop and Lake Winona are located near Forest Service Road 114.
Call (501) 984-5313 to reach the Jessieville-Winona-Fourche Ranger District office for additional information regarding the alert and upcoming updates.
