The 50th season of the Little Rock Farmers Market begins

Little Rock, Arkansas – The 50th season of the famed Little Rock Farmers Market began on Saturday.
Central Arkansans will have access to a unique supply of fresh, local goods at the farmers market, open every Saturday until August 31 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In Little Rock’s River Market District, the market is located in the two outdoor pavilions along President Clinton Avenue.
Fresh vegetables, locally cooked cottage food, arts and crafts, and more may be found at the market’s stalls.
Elizabeth Rush, manager of the Little Rock Farmers Market, stated, “You really do get to make a connection with the people of Little Rock, you get to make a connection with the farmers and the artisans.” “A lot of people have formed lifelong connections at this farmers market as well, as buying things that they use in their everyday life.”
The Little Rock municipal website states that a large number of vendors take SNAP benefits. The Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program, in which the market participates, enables customers to “have up to $20 worth of SNAP tokens matched for free to use at the market.”
Parking is available in the River Market Parking Deck at the intersection of 2nd and River Market Avenue and in the lot behind the market.
