The end of an era for Little Rock’s Ugly Mike’s Records

Little Rock, Arkansas – This summer, a well-known and cherished Little Rock mainstay will close.
In addition to selling the newest songs and timeless tunes, Ugly Mike’s Record Store provided a haven of calm for many locals. The owner now intends to retire within the next few months.
“I’m at the end of my life cycle, it’s time for me to stop and enjoy some of the life out there,” ugly Mike stated.
Since 1982, Ugly Mike has occupied the two-story structure. He stated that he would love for someone to take over his firm, even though the time has come for him to give up.
“The over-the-counter music industry is no longer in existence, therefore I’m not sure who would want to invest in the record industry at this time. Everything is now on your phone, Spotify, and other apps, you know. According to Ugly Mike, the over-the-counter music industry is now difficult.
According to Mike, meeting new people is one of his most treasured memories. He has always cherished his clients.
In addition to spending more time with his wife, who recently retired from teaching after more than 30 years, he is thrilled to fish every day during his retirement.
Although there isn’t a certain date for when the doors will close this summer, Ugly Mike urges music fans to visit before the last few days.
