The Spread the Warmth event held by the Arkansas Division of Community Correction

Little Rock, Arkansas – Workers representing the state of Arkansas are attempting to spread some warmth during this cold season.
On Asher Avenue on Saturday morning, the Arkansas Division of Community Correction sponsored the event and provided warm meals, winter clothing, and supplies.
“Some of us, you know, we have homes we can go to every day, but some in our community don’t, so we want to be a blessing to them,” Lieutenant Johnathan Lanes of the Arkansas Division of Community Correction said.
Around 160 people were expected to get a warm coat and lunch at the event on Saturday.
Spread the Warmth began in 2019, however, this is the first time it has taken place since the CoVid-19 pandemic began.
