The Wreaths Across America Ceremony honors veterans

Little Rock, Arkansas – In order to honor veterans on Monday, politicians, dignitaries, and distinguished visitors were assisted by volunteers with Wreaths Across America who are from Arkansas.
This is a nonpartisan Statehouse Ceremony honoring veterans and their families as well as active military personnel, according to Wreaths Across America.
On Monday, the celebration took place at the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Each military branch’s flag was displayed on a 36-inch balsam wreath, and a flag honoring POWs and MIAs was also flown during the ceremony.
The POW/MIA flag recognizes the sacrifices made by our country’s soldiers while also recognizing their love of the nation, community, and family. It is a representation of each branch of the armed services.
At the occasion, Col. Ronald W. McDaniel, a retired member of the Arkansas Air National Guard from Jacksonville, as well as Sharri Briley, president of the South-Central Region of Gold Star Wives of America Inc. from Little Rock, both gave speeches.
