West Capitol Ave hosts Downtown Food Truck Festival Sunday
Little Rock, Arkansas – At the Downtown Food Truck Festival on Sunday, thousands of people from Arkansas and a few other states came together.
For some, like Nayeley Wilcox, it was their first encounter with this phenomenon.
Wilcox commented, “I like it, there’s so much to offer, so many food places, it’s lots of good picks.”
Guests who have attended the festival in the past could have noticed changes in the layout of the event, including more food options, vendors, and attendees.
Hounds Lounge vendor Zoey Campbell reported seeing an increase in patronage.
Campbell remarked, “I love that it grows, I love that you can get anything like vegan food, plant-based food, dog food, all that good stuff, and BBQ.”
There was enough food for everyone in attendance, including people like Zoey, who is pleased to have more delicious options.
Owner of Pat’s Kitchen Theressa Murtha says her booth was like a hot shot. Her renowned Funnel cakes drew long lines of spectators.
According to Murtha, “everyone is coming and enjoying the funnel cakes, corn dogs, and freshly squeezed lemonade.”
It was an extremely hot year, but thankfully there were lots of lemonade stalls, and people could stay cool because of JC Youngblood, who had a Mempops vendor.
“Our goal is to ensure that everyone has a good time while appreciating the music,” stated Youngblood.
The festival drew over 10,000 attendees, according to the organizers, and it will be back on West Capitol Ave. the following year.
