Windsor Doors claims the $21 million expansion at its Little Rock location will create twice as many employment

Little Rock, Arkansas – A door maker that has been in Little Rock for sixty years is growing and making millions of dollars in improvements to both its neighborhood and plant.

The growth represents a significant advancement for Windsor Doors, a manufacturer of residential and commercial garage doors. Company executives saw a door scarcity in the last several years as demand from home builders increased, so they made adjustments to fulfill the demand.

The corporation launched a new high-speed, low-cost manufacturing line with robotic assistance on Wednesday, announcing a $21 million investment into its capital city operation.

While guests visited the plant on Wednesday, the new line was already running, with doors being made to be sent to Texas and Las Vegas.

In addition to increasing output, business officials said the expansion will create more jobs, almost tripling the number of staff members, who, according to company president Bob Strahan, are hired directly out of the area.

According to Strahan, “Our team looks like the neighborhood here.” “So we’ve got a lot of people who grew up together, they live together, a lot of family members who work here, and it’s a really good job culture because of that.”

The fact that at least 80% of the steel Windsor Doors purchases is produced right in Arkansas is another illustration of the company’s commitment to the Natural State.

At the celebration on Wednesday, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was present, cutting the ribbon personally and praising Windsor’s commitment to the state since their 1961 migration to Arkansas.
